Location – this position has a hybrid work structure to include a combination of working days onsite at our facility in Pleasant Prairie & remote from home.

The Manager, Third Party Warehouse & Distribution will be reporting directly to the Sr. Manager Service Operations and will be a key member of the Service Operations team. In this role, you will be the subject matter authority for the third-party warehouse services, overseeing their operational activities and bridging the relationship with stakeholders within INNIO. In addition you will be providing support and analysis to the overall Service Fulfillment organization. You will play a major role in sourcing, risk assessment, contracting, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring delivery of services in accordance with contract terms and provisions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage third party warehouse / distribution provider performance (SQDIC) and deliver on yearly operating plan.
  • Oversee and manage contracts with third-party vendors. Ensure contracts are executed in accordance with contract terms, corporate goals, and legal requirements.
  • Create, monitor, and analyze performance metrics to assess effectiveness of operations.
  • Critically assess, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions to enhance service operations and performance and execute transformative strategies.
  • Evaluate performance to ensure contracts and contractors meet the company quality and service standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Inspire, encourage, and persuade both internal and external stakeholders to embrace novel procedures or modifications that can boost efficiency and performance.
  • Able to create alignment among key stakeholders toward the attainment of shared objectives and common goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality, increase customer satisfaction, and drive business growth.
  • Analyze customer feedback identifying areas for improvement and implementing such changes to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Review and update existing processes by implementing new technologies and training others on new procedures.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure customer service operations align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Liaising with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policy.
  • Conduct audits and implement corrective action.
  • Identify and develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans with third-party contractors.
  • Handle any disputes related to third-party service performance. Work to document, resolve, and correct root causes in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Assist Global Commodity Leaders in negotiate contracts and pricing with third-party contractors.
  • Generate sophisticated reports and queries using Tableau and MS Excel to support the 3PL and the service Fulfillment organization.

Technical Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree from an accredited university in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years working experience in warehouse management, distribution, 3PL and/or logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics including safety procedures and regulations in a warehouse setting.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably with experience managing third-party contractors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to Advanced in MS Excel with strong analytical skills. 
  • Tableau reporting & Oracle ERP experience a plus.
