Description
As a WordPress Web Designer within our Communications team, your primary role will be to devise and execute web design strategies to enhance our company's diverse website portfolio. You will be tasked with creating new websites and transitioning existing Joomla-based websites to WordPress. Guided by the Advanced Web Designer, your role is pivotal in improving user experience and customer engagement through our website, thereby influencing our brand image and online conversions. You will collaborate closely with other members of the Communications and IT teams to ensure the websites align with our brand strategy and fulfill organizational goals and objectives.

Your responsibilites:
- Formulate and execute innovative web design strategies, and the tactics to deliver, including responsive, SEO-friendly, and user-centric designs, incorporating social media.
- Collaborate with the Communications and IT teams to ensure the websites align with brand strategy and meet INNIO's standards.
- Lead on creating and managing content, setting up and managing menus and widgets.
- Support on troubleshooting and resolving issues, implementing and managing forms.
- Mentor junior web designers, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Stay abreast of the latest web design trends and technologies.
- Utilize WordPress to create visually appealing and effective websites.
- Ensure the website is fast, secure, and functions well across different devices by testing.
- Manage web design projects, ensuring they are completed within the stipulated time and budget.
- Proactively adhere to data protection guidelines and laws, such as GDPR.
- Assist the Advanced Web Designer in creating reports for Sr. Commercial Communications Manager.
- Manage and analyse website performance in alignment with defined KPIs using Matomo Analytics, Google Analytics and other tools.
- Support in the definition of performance KPIs in alignment with page owners from different departments
Your profile:
- A Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Proven, minimum 5 years’ experience as a Web Designer, with a reference portfolio.
- Strong project management skills and page release management.
- Proficiency in WordPress is a must, proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, JQuery is an advantage.
- Expertise in using Google Analytics and Marketo.
- Exceptional visual design skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, German language is a plus.
- Interpersonal, organizational, and project team co-ordination/management skills.
- Experience with multilingual websites.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and drive tasks and issues to resolution.
- Ability to solve problems creatively within a team structure.
