The Supply Chain Intern will be a member of the Welland Supply Chain Team and working closely to support our Supply Chain Management department. This includes performing a variety of assignments to support the optimization of forecasts, demand planning, and supply plans that ensure the availability of parts and/or products for our manufacturing plant, as well as our service customers.

Co-op Term: January to April 2025

Essential Responsibilities

  • Updating delivery data in internal ERP system regarding supplier information and internal products
  • Supporting external supplier communications and updates
  • Assisting in the resolution of receipt and supplier purchase order discrepancies
  • Reviewing daily fulfillment of parts from supply base through expediting components, based on priority for assembly, machining and service teams
  • Assisting with internal customers to receive, analyze and provide commitments to their forecasts.
  • Developing ideas on streamlining communications (process improvements)
  • Analyzing stored data, creating reports and spreadsheets
  • Working as an Internal customer liaison for general inquiries on supply chain procedures for assembly, machining, warehouse departments
  • Work with team leaders and management to drive supply chain strategy programs.
  • Assisting with matching material requirements and inventory turnover
  • Working with internal ERP systems to analyze capacity, cycle times, urgency of request, and material availability to help determine scheduling

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • In process of completing bachelor's degree in Business, or Supply Chain Management
  • Experience working within a manufacturing setting
