Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Partner with the Lead EHS Coordinator to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and facility inspections.
- Oversee environmental compliance, including waste management, air and water quality, environmental permits, and hazardous materials handling.
- Deliver EHS training and education to employees at all levels.
- Maintain records, prepare reports, and communicate EHS performance to management.
- Serve as a key point of contact for regulatory agencies and coordinate facility inspections.
- Maintain ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications
- Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in legacy or historic facilities is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM preferred.
