The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000, which will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
 
Job Summary:
 
The Manufacturing Engineer for Genset Assembly is responsible for developing, managing, and continuously improving processes for assembling generator sets (gensets). This role requires hands-on engineering, frequent problem-solving, and adaptability to address challenges during assembly. The engineer works closely with production teams to ensure efficient, high-quality assembly of genset units.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, document, and optimize assembly processes for genset units, including layout, tooling, and workflow.
  • Perform time studies and analyze workflow to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Provide real-time support and solutions for issues arising during genset assembly.
  • Lead process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and support new product introductions.
  • Train and support assembly staff on process changes and technical requirements.
  • Analyze production data and feedback to drive continuous improvement in genset assembly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the assembly process.
Qualifications:
  • College/University level education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes, preferably for generator sets and related electrical equipment
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve engineering problems in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Experience with process documentation, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD and engineering tools.
  • Lean/Six Sigma training is a plus.
