The Senior Sales Manager – Digital Solutions is responsible for driving sales growth and profitability for SkidIQ, the gas compression controls product suite co-developed by Waukesha Gas Engines and Detechtion Technologies. SkidIQ is a cloud-based digital solution that helps End Users improve efficiency by optimizing compression package production and by reducing emissions and operating cost.
The Senior Sales Manager – Digital Solutions primary responsibility is to develop and implement a strategic sales plan for SkidIQ, identifying potential business opportunities, and building/maintaining relationships with Channel Partners and End Users. He/She will work closely with the Engineering and Product Line Management teams to ensure that Waukesha’s digital solutions meet/exceed Customers expectations.
Responsibilities
- Leverage your skills / experience to consult with customers to understand their business needs, develop and/or influence specifications for differentiated solutions
- Lead key sales activities such as prospecting for new opportunities, demand creation, funnel management and converting opportunities to business
- Focus heavily on understanding the customer’s processes and develop solutions that meet the customer’s business and technology needs
- Control system architecture development - focus on best value/fit-for-purpose solutions, continuous technology evaluation and innovation
- Act as technical contact for customer engagements, providing technical expertise and working with other subject matter experts (SME) when needed.
- Lead customer RFP review and provide proposal support – ensure proposed systems/solutions meet customer requirements while creating a competitive advantage for INNIO Waukesha products
- Engage with compressor packagers to understand controls requirements for engine, compressor, and auxiliary systems and provide quote for complete control system package
- Engage with natural gas producers and pipeline operators to promote value of SkidIQ and other digital solutions
- General knowledge of compressor and digital solutions as well as the software applications and PLC controls
- Provide leadership and focus for Business Unit Strategic Initiatives (lead sales campaigns)
- Support the account planning process and ultimately increase customer loyalty by delivering desirable customer outcomes
- Support the Project and Service Managers to ensure customer project and lifecycle success with our systems and solutions and improve operational effectiveness
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, engineering degree a plus
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in selling compressor/Control panels/digital solutions either directly to End Users or through Channel Partners/Distributors
- Availability to travel up to 50%
