Position Overview:
The Lead Training Instructor will be responsible for delivering technical product training and consulting services to customers, distributors, and internal staff, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of Jenbacher products. This role will contribute to the continuous improvement and development of new training offerings and will occasionally support field service activities to stay current with the latest product technologies.
This will be an in office daily position in Houston, TX.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver basic, mid and high level technical hands-on and classroom training courses for customers, distributors, and internal teams
  • Drive improvements of training content pro-actively in close cooperation with the Global Product Training Center team
  • Create and update training materials, documentation and eTraining modules in cooperation with the instructional design team
  • Lead training-related infrastructure projects, e.g. define/design & build training engines, simulators, training aids, etc.
  • Create a positive, constructive learning environment by applying contemporary adult learning principles
  • Provide excellent customer experience for training participants, bearing in mind their diverse backgrounds and cultural needs
  • Accept occasional field service assignments to stay up-to-date with current Jenbacher product technology
  • Comply with all relevant guidelines defined within the INNIO Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and Energy Management System (ISO 50001)
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience with Jenbacher products and control systems, or technical product experience in a similar industry
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, updating, and delivering technical training materials and eLearning modules, or extensive maintenance and / or troubleshooting experience with a strong desire to take the next step into a trainer role.
  • Experience with facilitating both hands-on and classroom-based training sessions
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for individual training, field service assignments, and training delivery, occasionally as position requires 
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Physical ability to conduct hands-on training, operate technical equipment, move / set up training aids, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the furture

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Strong project management and organizational skills to lead training-related infrastructure projects
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner
  • Experience with online training platforms and virtual training delivery
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a global team environment
