Position Overview:

The Service SIOP Manager is responsible for leading the Service Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process to ensure accurate demand planning, inventory alignment, and cross-functional coordination in support of service business objectives. This role manages a team of demand planners located both in the U.S. and Budapest, driving a consistent global planning approach while supporting regional business needs.

The Service SIOP Manager will oversee demand forecasting, planning performance, and process improvement activities, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making using SO99 and Microsoft Excel as primary planning tools. The role partners closely with supply chain, operations, commercial, finance, service teams, and channel partners to balance customer demand, inventory strategy, and operational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end Service SIOP process, including demand review, supply alignment, and executive planning support.
  • Manage and develop a team of demand planners across the U.S. and Budapest, ensuring clear priorities, strong collaboration, and consistent planning standards.
  • Drive accurate service demand forecasts through statistical analysis, business input, historical trends, and continuous forecast refinement.
  • Partner with channel partners to improve forecast quality, increase visibility to market demand, and drive forecast accuracy through stronger collaboration, input alignment, and accountability.
  • Use SO99 and Excel to analyze demand trends, planning performance, inventory positions, and forecast accuracy.
  • Establish and monitor key planning metrics such as forecast accuracy, bias, inventory health, service levels, and planning adherence.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align demand plans with supply constraints, business priorities, and customer requirements.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the demand and supply plan and escalate issues with recommended actions.
  • Standardize and improve planning processes, tools, reporting, and governance across regions.
  • Support scenario planning and decision-making to improve responsiveness and business performance.
  • Coach and mentor team members, building planning capability and supporting professional development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, S&OP/SIOP, or service parts planning.
  • Prior people leadership experience, including management of geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SO99 or similar demand planning tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work across functions, cultures, and time zones in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in service parts, aftermarket, or industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of inventory planning and service supply chain processes.
  • Experience leading process improvement or planning transformation initiatives.
  • Experience using ToolsGroup SO99.
