SOURCING MANAGER 

The Sourcing Manager will direct purchase planning for multiple jobs, either project- or account-based. This person will work directly with Business Development, VP of Implementation, external agencies, and suppliers to ensure projects are purchased and executed in a way that ensures high quality and competitive pricing.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop a high volume of solution proposals for multiple projects
  • Perform procurement and project management for projects, with an understanding of the client’s objectives
  • Manage communication channels to ensure smooth workflow
  • Oversee specifications for the account to ensure all client requirements, quality expectation, availability, and delivery dates are clear
  • Supervise requests for bid specifications and sending bids to selected vendors
  • Ensure that savings targets are being hit
  • Investigate potential suppliers and make recommendations based on manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and schedule availability
  • Assign and prioritize projects, set goals and timelines, and communicate progress to internal management
  • Handle disputes with suppliers and partner with our Supplier Relations team
  • Manage ongoing reviews of existing accounts to identify improvement opportunities
  • Partner with the VP of Implementation to understand the ongoing priorities of the department

 

 

 

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sourcing and purchasing experience, either in the commercial print industry or with promotional projects and materials
  • Strong leadership and direct client interfacing experience 
  • Strong experience negotiating job costs and schedules with suppliers
  • Independent thinking, strong organization, and planning abilities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
  • Proven project management experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly proficient with MS Office software, especially with Excel
  • Entrepreneurial minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed
  • Experience excelling within fast paced, high energy environments
