The Production Manager will manage every aspect of the project from the time designs and engineering are turned over by the Account Manager to begin estimating and quoting to client, through the final installation and completion phase. The Production Manager must also be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and work well with and communicate effectively with production teams and management.

 

responsibilities

  • Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and delivery of the detailed Project Plan and Scope of Work.
  • Identify customer needs, challenges, and opportunities in order to develop viable solutions.
  • Work with internal resources and across departments to craft the project plan and scope of work.
  • Document and create any change requests required from both internal managers and the client.
  • Learn and communicate product information of a technical nature as well as a commercial nature to customers, sales force, and other contacts.
  • Create and maintain activity and progress reports for internal teams and customers.
  • Tracks all budget related information including but not limited to billable hours and expenses.
  • Represent the company as a single point of contact for all aspects of the project or engagement.
  • Consult with design and engineering personnel to define production and aesthetic standards for displays.
  • Determine vendor participation based on supplier's core competencies, ability to meet deadlines, and cost parameters.
  • Oversee timely creation of prototypes and provide cost effective, quality production of display fixtures in timeframes dictated in project parameters.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of permanent display production experience.
  • Must have experience working and coordinating with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Must have experience with a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and plastic.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to interface with customers and colleagues.
  • Solid background/work experience in project management.
  • Ability and willingness to learn, understand, and follow documented work procedures.
  • Ability to manage time and workload, and to prioritize and modify priorities accordingly.
  • Learn and communicate product information of a technical nature as well as a commercial nature to customers, sales force, and other contacts.
  • Ability to act under pressure to develop critical paths for projects.
  • Excellent understanding of the manufacturing processes for a variety of materials.
  • Positive attitude and professional image.
  • Perseverance, drive, and self-confidence to manage all workings of a project.
