Overview
The Galvão Research Group at INL develops three main theoretical research lines: photonic quantum computation, foundations of quantum computation, and quantum software engineering.
We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the team under the VeriQuB project.
Job Duties
The job duties will be the following:
- Research on quantum computation with bosonic continuous-variable systems;
- Characterise and verify resources enabling quantum advantage;
- Classical simulation algorithms for noisy quantum devices;
- Boson sampling and related quantum computational advantage proposals;
Mandatory Qualifications
Education
- PhD degree in Physics, Physical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related field.
Experience and Technical Skills
- Research experience in quantum information and computation;
- Strong knowledge of quantum mechanics.
Other Valued Skills (if applicable)
- Knowledge of continuous-variable quantum information is valued;
- Programming skills;
- Experience in supervising Master or PhD students.
Personal Skills
- “Hands-on” approach together with a high commitment in respecting working deadlines;
- Problem Solving ability;
- Customer orientation;
- Ability to work independently and as team player;

How the Selection Process works
