Billing and Collections Specialist
The Billing and Collections Specialist will calculate billable amounts on CloudBlue existing contracts, ensuring timely and accurate billing, and resolve customer billing problems. As well, the specialist will be accountable for collecting on all outstanding accounts receivable dollars from CloudBlue’s customer base, reducing accounts receivable delinquency.
Maintain close alignment with Contract Administrator to ensure all drafted contracts adhere to billing system constraints Perform onboarding of each contract into the billing system, ensuring data completeness and accuracy.
Perform calculations of billable amounts for every recurring contract with CloudBlue customers on a monthly basis.
Ensure timely billing of non-recurring (one-time) items, collecting customer payments in accordance with payment due dates.
Design and execute standard loss mitigation strategies.
Make outbound collections calls and correspondences in a professional manner, while maintaining and improving on customer relations.
Identify issues and trends contributing to account delinquency and present to management with actionable recommendations.
Prepare dashboard reports aggregating account statements and trends. Maintain a strong understanding of key functionality in a standard billing information system.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or business, or 5 years of equivalent experience.
1-3 years experience creating corporate invoices for a large customer base.
Minimum 1 year experience in corporate billing that included reoccurring licenses/subscriptions line items.
Minimum 1 year experience in corporate billing that included professional services or managed services line items.
Minimum 1 year experience in corporate collections, including interaction with a large customer base.
Ability to work with remote team members via online tools across different time zones.
Familiarity with professional services and managed services business models.
Well-developed critical thinking and decision-making skills required. Experience with SAP is a plus.
Knowledge of Salesforce, FinancialForce, or another professional services automation system is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud services is a plus.
