Associate must exhibit proficient use of resources and systems on data gathering and analysis in order to resolve margin related problems. Perform simple to moderate analysis of reports and interpret the data for others. Can explain variances and be able to identify market trends and make recommendations. Demonstrates strong time management skills to effectively accomplish assigned tasks. Ability to probe for reconciliation of billing error reports. Demonstrate strong knowledge of pricing calculations on different levels for product and customer pricing. Exhibits strong ownership and accountability in mailbox and all tasks assigned. Strong attention to details and adhere on all updates/changes on process. Demonstrate initiatives to handle and complete projects. II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Customer/Requestor Percent of time spent in this area 75% Responsibilities: Process pricing request and generate reports and analysis for vendor line owners, sales associate and US counterpart analysts for optimization. Respond or initiate outbound calls with customers if needed. Prevent customer returns by ensuring accuracy of solutions provided. Provide clear and precise information to the customer and help them attain the target margin for specific product or vendor line. Progressive Training Percent of time spent in this area 15% Responsibilities: Attend all scheduled meetings and trainings for process calibration. Initiative to work on new task/project with SME/trainer guidance. Participate in vendor line/products and process updates. Product Study and Research Percent of time spent in this area 5% Responsibilities: Develop clear understanding of all applications and resources and be able to use them efficiently. Gather and track data, develop understanding of market trends and purchasing behavior of customers to support optimization projects. Training/Administrative Duties Percent of time spent in this area 5% Responsibilities: Accomplish assigned tasks timely and effectively. Complete add-on assignments within the established deadline and with 100% accuracy. Segment Leadership Requirements: Summarize the minimum kinds of knowledge, skills and abilities required to do this job: Moderate to advanced skill level with Excel, Word, Power Point, and Visio. Experience with Business Objects (Magellan) helpful. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Project demands require long hours (overtime) for stretches of time. Some domestic travel may be required. Education: Formal education or training required such as degrees, courses of study, certification: Bachelor Degree in Business, Statistics or related field. Experience: less than 1 year experience in Marketing and/or Finance. Preferably in Pricing.
