Section 2:  Position Summary

 

The AWS Cloud Solution Architect is responsible for driving technical guidance to the Ingram Micro Cloud Partners ecosystem. Working in close collaboration with AWS Sales, he/she will help evangelize/assist resellers when helping their customers transitioning from an on-premise infrastructure lay-out to an IaaS approach.             

 

Section 3:  Responsibilities & Supporting Actions

 

  • As part of the AWS Sales Team, develops, builds and maintains relationships with key partner decision makers and influencers: CTOs, enterprise architects, vendors specialists and field sales
  • Drive attainment of quarterly and annual assigned AWS revenue and margin targets
  • Cultivate and foster a world class partner team across the internal aligned businesses, including sales specialist sales, field sales, product marketing, marketplace sales support and cloud services
  • Provides AWS technical leadership and direction to the partner technical and sales organization
  • Work with Amazon to create, maintain and communicate to partners an AWS Technology Plan
  • Presents and markets the technical design and business value of proposed AWS Technology Solutions and business cases to partners, prospects and internal sales management
  • As part of the AWS Sales Team, actively participate in qualifying opportunities regarding partners technical requirements, competition, decision-making process and funding
  • Plan & execute periodical AWS technical training and new offering launches internally for sales and externally for partners
  • Eventually supports the partners in final customer interactions, creating and presenting the infrastructure journey to the cloud
  • Drive & support specific AWS demand generation campaigns and events
  • Speak in public events to represent the Ingram Micro Cloud AWS Value Proposition
  • Actively participate in regular pipeline & business reviews at the country and region levels

 

 

 

 

Section 4Skills & Experience

 

  • Degree in Engineering or IT degree in related field
  • AWS Certifications
  • Demonstrated experience in Infrastructure & AWS related selling scenarios
  • Excellent knowledge of competitive products and IT infrastructure industry (good understanding of infrastructure solutions – storage – servers – virtualization – communications & cloud technologies)
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Ability to work at CTO level to build strategies for AWS Enterprise Architectures
  • First-hand working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture practices, stacks and styles
  • Executive presence, influence and ability to collaborate & motivate across the organization
  • Internally and externally recognized as a key and influential AWS technical leader
  • Leadership and Relationship Building Experience
  • Influence based leadership, comfortable leading through ambiguity
  • Creative and critical thinking
  • Good analytical and decision-making ability
