1.0               Purpose

 

Outline specific roles, responsibilities, and expectations of the Operations Training and Safety Associate assigned to the Greer, SC and Henderson, NV facilities

 

2.0               Scope

 

Explains in detail the roles, responsibilities, and expectations for the Operations Training and Safety Associate in the Greer, SC and Henderson, NV facilities 

 

3.0               Expectations:

 

  1. Must have functional knowledge of best practices and SOPs for receiving, putaway, replenishment, inventory control, picking/plugging, flow coordinator, shipper, and loader
  2. Must know or able to learn the OSHA regulations that apply to the facilities and how to maintain compliance
  3. Must have above average knowledge of Maverick to include the handheld RF functionality
  4. Must be efficient in Outlook, Teams, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite
  5. Must have working knowledge of both UPS and FedEx shipping software
  6. Must have the ability to effectively coach and transfer operational knowledge to all NetXUSA team members
  7. Must be able to provide constructive criticism and resolve conflict effectively
  8. Must be able to travel a minimum of once a quarter to Henderson, NV
  9. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  10. Must be able to multitask and effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

 

4.0 Responsibilities:

  1. Provide work direction to associates daily
  2. Facilitate new hire orientations
  3. Create onboarding training documents for each warehouse function and update as needed to keep relevant
  4. Create retraining documents for each warehouse function and update as needed
  5. Train all new associates utilizing department SOPs, check off sheets, and trainer evaluation document
  6. Conduct behavioral audits on associates at scheduled intervals and follow-up as needed
  7. Conduct retraining when associates fail to make rate or fail behavioral audit
  8. Create safety audit schedule(s)
  9. Recommend suggestions to improve existing processes and current production methods
  10. Communicate daily with management team
  11. Review procedures, work instructions, and training documents to ensure they are up to date
  12. Work with management to ensure all associates are current with Accelerate online training
  13. Ensure training records are current and up to date
  14. Obtain a train the trainer certification on all PIT
  15. Train and recertify all PIT operators following OSHA and Ingram Micro guidelines
  16. Audit PIT operators to ensure all PIT SOPs and rules of the road are being followed
  17. Maintain records on PIT drivers’ expiration dates
  18. Notify supervisor/manager 30 days prior to associates’ license expiring
  19. Train new members of management on the functions of their assigned department
  20. Minimum of two safety walks per week 
  21. Oversee, confirm, and assist in the use of IM-TRAIN’d
  22. Complete and document safety audits monthly
  23. Prepare Power Point presentations for training classes and operations meeting
  24. Coordinate training with operations leadership for least impact on business
  25. Follow up with managers on behavioral observation results and next steps
  26. Monitor performance progression of new hires
  27. Travel between multiple facilities as needed
  28. Assist in making training and safety documents, forms, and videos as required
  29. Attend monthly safety committee meetings
  30. Other duties as assigned
