We have a variety of Market Development Specialist opportunities open at our Buffalo based Sales Contact Center!

This role is perfect for the candidate interested in being a Subject Matter Expert for one of our many vendor lines.

Responsibilities: With a primary focus of building and maintaining client relationships with existing Ingram Micro customers, the Market Development Specialist is responsible for:
*Implementing, driving and advancing vendor, technology, or category strategies, programs, solutions, and trainings with customers and sales associates.
*Enabling profitable sales, activations, and market share of the assigned product line.
*Lead educational sessions with the customer and support closing deals
*Develops and maintains a detailed understanding of their assigned vendor, technology or category segment and its associated key competitive products including life cycles, pricing programs, and technology advantages and may be required to manage transactions to support vendor and customer needs. *Serves as a liaison between Ingram Micro and the vendor or overlay division and leverages competitive information to the advantage of both the vendor and Ingram Micro.
*Generates leads and opportunities for self and sales team members to proactively address and record leads in appropriate pipeline management tools.

High school diploma (or equivalent) and minimum of two years previous sales/customer service experience (in a related industry strongly preferred) or one year experience with Ingram Micro in a sales, support, or customer service capacity
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year previous sales/customer service experience (in a related industry strongly preferred).

*Knowledge of professional, effective telephone techniques and customer care. Moderate technical and product knowledge
*Basic understanding of Ingram Micro programs, products and services is desirable
*Skilled in personal computing
*Moderate knowledge of Excel and Word require
*Excellent communication skills: written and verbal required
*Strong organizational skills and problem solving agility also required
*Ability to work as a team member, partner effectively with others, multi-task, respond to rapid change, perform duties with accuracy and with a strong degree of urgency, prioritize and perform work with some supervision
*Able to handle large quantities of information while maintaining a high level of accuracy

*Flexible full-time, eight hour schedules, Monday through Friday
*Schedules are assigned to support department hours between 8:00am – 8:00pm
*Ability to work overtime at quarter and year-end
