Principal, Software Development | IoT Software Developer

An exciting opportunity to work our Vendor Management Team out of our Mississauga office location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop IoT software for various verticals and use cases on IoT platform
  • Designing solutions, writing code, testing code, automating test and deployment.
  • Learn and understand how to work and integrate with Ingram’s ecosystem of hardware and software vendors.  
  • Able to communicate and actively participate in customer call to understand requirements
  • Responsible for all facets of software development including participating in risk assessments, requirements capture, software development, troubleshooting, validation & debugging, code reviews, product field support, and system software release
  • Partnering with other technology teams to ensure integrated end-to-end design and integration.



  • Strong analytical skills, ability to multi task while working independently in fast paced environment workspace
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, adhere to deadlines and effectively collaborate in a team environment
  • Self-driven, motivated and has passion for Software Development using existing/new technologies


Core Technologies / Skills:

  • Knowledge of the Internet of Things along with working experience in connecting, communicating and visualizing data from sensors and gateways.
  • Cloud computing (Microsoft, IBM Cloud, AWS etc.), Virtualization/Containerization technologies, Microservices
  • Operating System including Linux and Windows
  • API architecture and management
  • C#, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS , Python
  • Experience with .NET, .NET Core, AngularJS, Angular, React or other modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Third-Party SDK integrations, RESTful APIs, OAuth, JSON & Web Services
  • SQL and NoSQL database technologies
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, and modern web design best practices
  • Ability to write tests to ensure functionality of created code



  • 4+ years of experience working as a full stack developer for web applications
  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated to succeed while working in a team-oriented environment
