Learning & Development Manager EMEA

About the job
You will collaborate with all our L&D specialists, HR Managers and Business leaders to enable our business objectives by accelerating the development of our associates with critical people management skills. You understand the importance of influencing people, on different hierarchical levels, in a multi-country and multi-cultural environment.
As a key contributor you will design, create and execute all Learning and Development programs throughout Europe. You will set up best practice across all our sites in Europe, to leverage what we already have and create new programs. Here's where your knowledge and training delivery experience are going to count as a major asset in your working experience.
You are in the lead and will work closely together with our Supervisors and Managers to equip them with the necessary leadership- and listening skills and shape how we engage better with our associates to consistently reinforce our culture and values. As far as co-ordination skills are concerned, you will work in-conjunction with our local HR Managers and L&D Specialists to build an L&D framework for Europe, taking responsibility for the harmonization and deployment of new and existing training programs for employees at Operational and Leadership level.
You will engage with Supervisors and Operational associates to identify and understand where competency gaps are and bring solutions to the table on how to address the training and development needs to enhance engagement and commitment in the workplace floor. It is important that you help maintain an effective employee engagement and onboarding framework to support the goals and vision of our People Strategy and Operating Plan. You will contribute to action plans with L&D initiatives for our business leaders to meet the Engagement targets.
You will be the go-to person for questions about L&D and have insight in L&D portfolio across Europe and be responsible for representing CLS Europe in Regional and Global L&D meetings, to ensure that CLS is also aligned with the global L&D strategy.
Your experience and knowledge
- A strong background in learning and development with more than 5 years of relevant international training experience, including training delivery for both Leadership and Direct Operational employees;
- Experience in the strategic design of professional development programs and activities;
- You have solid experience in designing and delivering content based learning principles;
- You can set up and maintain a state of the art European wide L&D curriculum;
- You know how to roll-up your sleeves and train the trainers to ensure consistent quality in Europe.
Your competencies and education
- You have a Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field of study;
- Minimum of 5 years experience in training in an international environment;
- You can deliver workshop trainings in English and speak fluent English and one other European language (Dutch and/or German and/or Polish);
- You are willing to travel up to 40% of your time within Europe.
