We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our Core DDI team in Bangalore, reporting to the manager of Engineering. In this role, you will work on our NIOS product with a team focused on solving massive scale performance challenges while building and maintaining next-generation network actionable intelligence products. You will also gain deep expertise in the Infoblox Network Services Appliance product line and will have an opportunity to mentor new engineers on your team. What you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain features for the NIOS product using Python and C
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable software solutions
- Write high-quality code in Python to ensure the performance, security, and maintainability of our applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in the product
- Develop and enhance features over DNS/DHCP protocols
- Performance tuning, scalability, and optimization
- Coordinate with development teams for release planning
- Improve scalability and manageability of the Core DDI product line and for distributed virtualized environments
- Work with sustaining engineering and customer technical support to diagnose and resolve challenging field issues
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of experience in Python, C, Linux internals, shell scripting, and algorithms
- Strong programming skills in Python and C
- Understanding of network protocols, API design, and best practices
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and container orchestration tools like Docker Compose would be a plus
- Hands-on experience of networking protocols like DNS, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF
- Solid debugging and problem-solving skills
- A willingness to work on customer escalations and NIOS platform enhancements
- A great attitude and willingness to be a good team player
- A four-year degree in CS, CE, EE, or equivalent is required

- Work toward becoming a subject matter expert in your domain
- Be able to independently execute RFEs
- Work on performance tuning and optimization
