We are looking for a Senior Sales Training Program Manager in Tacoma or Raleigh to join our global Business Development Representatives (BDR) team, reporting to the director of Global Business Development. In this hybrid role, you will train and enable BDR teams in the Americas (AMS) and Europe (EMEA) while developing fun and engaging outbound prospecting programs and running them from ideation and gamification to execution. You will collaborate with an international group of highly skilled field marketers, product specialists, sales managers, and global BDRs. This is a dual role, with 60% of your time dedicated to training and enablement and 40% dedicated to developing programs.
You’re the ideal candidate if you are passionate about network security sales, BDR sales training, enablement, and emerging tools and methodologies. You are an enthusiastic and clear communicator who can break down technical materials into easy-to-understand concepts. You are highly organized and have a reputation for getting things done while having fun along the way.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct needs assessments to determine specific learning requirements of the BDRs
- Develop and deliver BDR-focused sales training programs and materials, tailoring as needed to address geographical requirements
- Organize and drive a comprehensive BDR training program (both new hire ramp-up and advanced/ongoing learning) for AMS and EMEA BDRs
- Develop and deliver blended learning methodologies: Instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), and e-learning
- Keep courses, assets, and curricula up to date with product enhancements, new technologies, and training trends
- Create and share best practice examples that allow the entire BDR organization to constantly uplevel their skills
- Create sales tools, including playbooks and quick reference manuals for BDRs
- Develop and implement monthly and quarterly outbound programs—from ideation and gamification to execution
- Leverage data and insights to ensure continued outbound/prospecting program evolution and focus on driving pipeline growth
- Deliver focused programs for BDRs at events such as our annual Sales Kickoff meeting
What you’ll bring:
- 12+ years of experience in BDR sales training, sales enablement, and learning & development within BDR technology sales
- Prior network security sales experience required
- Solid understanding of multi-channel engagement data, buyer-intent analytic platforms, and third-party customer predictive data tools
- Direct experience working within marketing organizations and an understanding of business development methodologies and processes
- Experience creating sales tools, including sales playbooks and quick reference manuals for sales representatives
- Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills that help you convey market insights, technological advantages, and effective sales techniques
- Project management skills with the ability to manage a project from inception to completion
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a global organization to find consensus
- Proven ability to build effective outbound/prospecting campaigns and collateral while gaining support for ideas, proposals, projects, and solutions
- Program performance reporting at monthly and quarterly business reviews
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in business or instructional design, a plus
What success looks like:
After six months, you will…
- Be familiar with the Infoblox product suite
- Build relationships internally by socializing the BDR trainer program with our cross-geo marketing and sales leaders
- Design learning programs to meet the identified educational needs of BDRs
- Be in the planning stages of an outbound prospecting strategy
After about a year, you will…
- Be an Infoblox product SME
- Implement and improve new hire and ongoing BDR development strategies to ensure consistency and quality across the AMS and EMEA geos
- Increase BDR-sourced opportunities and pipeline from outbound prospecting activities
