Role: Role: Mid-level DBA

Required skills: DB2 DBA, Hands on experience on Query Tuning and optimization.

3+ years of experience with DB2 SQL development and DB2 administration •         Experienced in supporting very large, complex automated systems using both custom and off-the-shelf enterprise and business applications. •          Proficiency in writing SQL procedures, functions and packages for administration and application support and experience with Q replication, Range partitioned tables, Hash partitioned tables, Replicated MQT and MDC•        Experience providing appropriate Database Performance tuning support with regards to storage I/O, buffer pools, query access plan assessment and creation of required database structures including indexes •   Should have strong UNIX platform skills and understanding of network, storage, tiered application environments and security•         Experience in HADR/Q-Replication Configuration• Good interpersonal skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills•      Must be self-driven and a team player with a solid work ethic

Responsibilities: : Provides problem resolution support, specific to database issues; identifies and resolves database problems, coordinating with application users to determine symptoms and ensure accurate problem definition assists in development and improvement of database administration.


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field is required
