DevOps Engineer Intern

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

A DevOps Engineer Intern works as an integrated part of the NICE CEA Cloud Analytics software engineering team with specific focus on delivering software products into a cloud-native production environment. Additional opportunities will include learning about and implementing continuous delivery systems, the software development life cycle, and engineering support. This position will be mentored by a senior engineer for the duration of the internship.

As a DevOps Engineer Intern, a Typical Day Might Include the Following:
  • Helping define and develop continuous integration and deployment pipelines
  • Learning to building “Infrastructure as Code”
  • Assisting in coordinating build and release activities with other stakeholders
  • Working with team members to develop application and performance metrics
  • Updating, writing and managing JIRA stories throughout the software development life cycle
  • Helping troubleshoot and respond to environment downtime and performance degradation
To Land This Gig You'll Need:
  • Completion of upper-level courses in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent work experience or training
  • Ability to solve challenging problems
  • Ability to learn independently and from others
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with team members and peers abroad
Bonus Experience:
  • Programming or scripting experience (Java, Python, Shell, Bash)
  • Experience with Docker, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud
  • Experience with source control systems, build tools and frameworks (git, gradle, cmake, jenkins)
  • Experience with NLP or experience with machine learning tools and techniques
  • Experience with Analytics, Big Data or Business Intelligence
