A Planning Manager plays a crucial role in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, ensuring the efficient planning and coordination of various operational activities.   • Assist with the Material Specification process.
  • Establish min/max levels for inventoried materials in ERP.
  • Create and communicate demand forecasts for inventoried materials.
  • Identify and develop best-in-class suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain good supplier and internal customer relationships that foster an environment of collaboration and trust.
  • Analyze historical spend data to identify new opportunities for cost savings

  • Ensure the use of formal project and program management processes and tools.
  • Take on critical projects at the request of, and report to, the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Interface with senior management on significant matters, often requiring the coordination of activity across organizational units.
  • Participate in the development of teammates by facilitating training, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Identify and manage significant risks, develop mitigation plans, bring clarity and solutions to complex situations that have high ambiguity, and lead the delivery of several, diverse projects at the same time.
  • Act as a mentor to less-experienced staff and may provide work direction or supervise other employees.
  • Work with Business Development to understand where new opportunities can be scheduled and work to find the optimal solution for the customer and for INCOG
  • Lead and facilitate the companies S&OP process. Conduct weekly meetings to gain insights into the demand, the supply, the business financials and execution. This process is gathering the details and information to create/modify/introduce a production schedule short term and long term to meet the business and client needs. Monthly this report is compiled and reviewed with our Executive Leadership Team where we work towards our business objectives and identify solutions to keep activities on track.
Essential Job Functions:
 
Supply Chain Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement supply chain strategies. Ensure the availability of raw materials, components, and finished products to meet production demands.
Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to optimize resource utilization and meet production targets. Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure timely execution of production plans.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Implement inventory control measures and optimize stock rotation.
Demand Forecasting: Utilize data analysis and forecasting tools to predict product demand. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to gather relevant market intelligence.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans. Proactively address issues related to logistics, production delays, and supply shortages.
Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend enhancements to optimize the supply chain.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and industry best practices. Stay informed about changes in regulations affecting supply chain operations.

  • Strong computer skills.
  • Proven consummate customer service professional; ability to forge strong customer relationships.
  • Advanced knowledge of all phases of drug development, of the functions and processes relevant to drug development, and project management principles applicable to the biopharmaceutical environment.
  • Support creation, revision, issuance of project plans and other client related documentation required for support of services at INCOG.
  • 3+ years of experience managing large budget &/or commercial projects.
  • Ability to inspire others to share their vision and support them to reach a common goal.
  • Aptitude in supporting a patient-centered best in class service organization.
  • Strong cross-functional negotiating and decision-making skills.
  • Interprets and communicates special requirements to appropriate personnel.
  • Updates new plans and changes in the inventory management system.
  • Supports new product introduction, BOM's, and item master as needed.
  • Verifies availability of material and capacity before rescheduling.
  • Ensures schedule stability by minimizing short term changes.
  • Creates, monitors, and updates manufacturing work orders and part lists in the system.
  • Maintain effectiveness of the Quality System components relevant to this position.
  • Responsible for updating existing reports and developing new ones.
  • Responsible for tracking departmental performance metrics, as required.
  • Work closely with all internal and external suppliers and vendors.
  • Maintain work area to 5S standards as posted in work area.
  • Maintain SOPs for all duties and tasks.
Additional Preferences:
  • 3-5 years demonstrated working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in production scheduling, planning or project management type roles where it has been identified the candidate has worked with multiple groups of individuals to achieve the project milestones.
  • 5 years in a supplier / customer facing role.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read and understand English-written job instructions and safety requirements.
  • Prior experience in a cGMP environment required.
  • ASCM or ISM certification preferred.
