Manage all aspects of the organization's physical infrastructure needs, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); structural and civil engineering requirements; maintenance of facility's building automation system (BAS); lighting; roofing; fire protection; and other specific structural needs. Lead the EH&S team and Service contracts (security/pest control/transportation/cafeteria).

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with other organization engineers and management to establish and implement design specs and standards for the facility.
  • Leads in analyzing the facility infrastructure for deficiencies and inefficiencies, as well as designing methods for evaluating the facility's condition. 
  • Responsible for designing and implementing preventative and corrective maintenance plans and procedures focusing on minimizing the occurrence of adverse effects that could affect the operation of the facility.
  • Make recommendations to senior management with an eye to prioritizing and improving the overall working function of every aspect of the physical plant.
  • Work with architects, engineers, and designers to ensure that design criteria meet established codes that are required by governmental regulation. 
  • Involved with the planning phase of new facilities; they consult with engineers, architects, and designers to discuss specific infrastructure needs, such as office space and other work areas specific to the organization's business requirements.
  • Responsible for preparing and presenting reports to organization senior management, focusing on the construction process, material costs, evaluations, and code compliance.
  • Create and manage the facilities budget 
  • Interface with accounting to ensure facility related expenses are allocated appropriately.
  • Identify and implement cost improvement projects 
  • Lead the contract services for pest control/Janitorial/transportation/cafeteria/security. 
  • Lead the EH&S efforts 
  • Any additional duties upon requested

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum 5  years experience on medical facilities
  • Minimum of 1 year of management experience
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience on creating and managing budgetary
  • Experience in Environmental Health & Safety
  • Expert knowledge of engineering, keen analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Strong knowledge of building infrastructure, regulations, and codes.
  • Proficient in engineering and architectural applications such as AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of medical device manufacturing facility requirements.
