Senior Cost Accountant
Description
The Senior Cost Accountant works with minimal supervision providing support to the Accounting Department and Manufacturing Operations/Logistics. Independently completing general accounting duties including month-end close, preparing journal entries, setting standard costs, balance sheet reconciliations and inventory analysis.
Responsibilities
- Set item standard costs for purchased and manufactured goods.
- Responsible for supporting an accurate and timely close process as it pertains to the cost accounting function.
- Independently perform analyses, prepare journal entries, perform monthly inventory reconciliations, and assist with gross margin analytics.
- Prepare month-end reporting inventory and direct labor for the management team.
- Monitor, support, and report on trunk stock and cycle count activities to ensure accuracy and SOX compliance.
- Assist with external audits for quarterly reviews and annual audits for COGS related requests.
- Apply continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems.
- Partner with Operations to drive transactional process improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience from public and/or private industry.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and projects effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and maintain relationships and communicate confidently and professionally to all levels of an organization.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger, and general accounting concepts such as intercompany eliminations, and transfer pricing.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and execute on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
Preferred
- Cost accounting experience preferred.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Manufacturing and/or medical device company experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite preferred.
Inari Medical offers competitive health and wealth benefits for our employees. The base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. A range of factors, including location, skills, and experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
