Sr. R&D Project Engineer (DVT Team)

Description

The Sr. R&D Project Engineer, with minimal supervision, supports and leads teams in the
development of medical device products, including writing or verifying specifications,
maintaining product process, designing fixtures, test processes, equipment, and raw materials
to ensure the concepts and/or prototypes meet their requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Develop new product concepts and products.
  • Contribute to engineering design and process development.
  • Generate intellectual property and write invention disclosures.
  • Outline and/or direct the specification and testing of new materials and designs.
  • Confer with appropriate departments, resources, and/or outside services to prepare design modifications, clarify problems, and develop designs.
  • Mentor other members on team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ related medical device R&D experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Peripheral vascular experience
  • Largely self-directed, capable of meeting project goals with minimal supervision.
  • Engineering design knowledge/experience (medical device preferred)
  • Reading, writing, reviewing technical documents.
  • Experience with SolidWorks (parts, assemblies, drawings).
  • Past involvement with writing/reviewing FDA submissions.
Preferred
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Catheter design experience 
  • Nitinol experience 
Inari Medical offers competitive health and wealth benefits for our employees. The base pay range for this position is $122,000-$135,000. A range of factors, including location, skills, and experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
