Senior Analyst Clinical Insights

The Senior Analyst of Clinical Insights uses independent judgment to plan and execute data analytics of internal and external data sources to create actionable clinical insights for key stakeholders. This role will be a technical expert and, under Clinical Leadership guidance, design and perform analysis efforts to provide product and procedural insights to internal teams and help optimize definitive study designs in the field.


  • Analyze Inari studies & registries (beyond the prespecified analyses), other clinical data, and literature, to raise hypotheses, identify trends, and generate insights relating to (a) the design of clinical trials in the fields of pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis and (b) the utilization and outcomes associated with Inari products & procedures and adjacent therapies
  • Generate healthcare economics insights about Inari products and adjacent therapies, using existing databases, under clinical leadership guidance and in partnership with Business Insights and Market Access
  • Identify and evaluate potential data sources on their overall quality and appropriateness for use toward developing clinical and economic analyses
  • Recommend/contribute to technical aspects necessary for building further analytics capabilities
  • Attain data from various and disparate sources to facilitate unique analyses not otherwise possible from a single source
  • Effectively communicate findings with stakeholders in Clinical, R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, and International
  • Collaborate with multiple internal teams including Biostatistics, Marketing, R&D, International, and Regulatory to support business needs by performing actionable data analytics, specifically toward customer/procedural training insights and R&D product development efforts
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant literature and competitive landscape

  • Education and industry experience fitting one of the following:
    • Master’s degree or PhD in biomedical/clinical science or engineering or data science, plus 2-3 years of experience working with clinical or medical data
    • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical/clinical science or engineering or data science, plus min 5 years of experience working with clinical or medical data
    • MBA with min 3 years of experience working with clinical or medical data 
  • Mastery of one or more programming languages/tools useful in advanced analytics (R, Python, SQL, Matlab, etc., or advanced power user of Excel) and data visualization (Tableau. PowerBI, etc.)
  • Preferred to have:
    • Experience using machine learning to solve clinical/biomedical challenges
    • Experience working with and/or designing big data infrastructure, including cloud services and parallel computing
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques
  • Strong analytic abilities to understand, digest, and summarize complex data to different audiences
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong data visualization/data storytelling skills
  • Ability to succeed in a rapidly changing, agile environment where continuous innovation is requisite to success
  • A healthy disdain for the status quo and a willingness to question existing practices to identify better alternatives
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible enough to change priorities with short notice when necessary
