R&D Engineering Technician II
Description
The R&D Engineering Technician II is responsible for supporting R&D engineering initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate prototypes, develop manufacturing processes, and design fixtures.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
- Aid engineering in equipment and tooling development and assembly.
- Perform device and prototype assembly.
- Train production on new processes.
- Make suggestions for improvement and/or troubleshooting new and existing products.
- Execute test protocols by performing inspections, functional tests, and destructive tests.
- Initiate purchase orders.
- Maintain an organized lab notebook.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- General knowledge of clean room procedures.
- Minimum 2 years assembly and/or testing experience in medical device industry.
- Computer skills including Excel, Word, and preferably some AutoCad and Solidworks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to apply acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic measuring techniques including scales, rulers, US and metric measurement.
- Ability to follow company procedures.
- English language proficiency.
- General knowledge of clean room procedures.
