Description

The R&D Engineering Technician II is responsible for supporting R&D engineering initiatives and projects.
 
Responsibilities
  • Fabricate prototypes, develop manufacturing processes, and design fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Aid engineering in equipment and tooling development and assembly.
  • Perform device and prototype assembly.
  • Train production on new processes.
  • Make suggestions for improvement and/or troubleshooting new and existing products.
  • Execute test protocols by performing inspections, functional tests, and destructive tests.
  • Initiate purchase orders.
  • Maintain an organized lab notebook.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • General knowledge of clean room procedures.
  • Minimum 2 years assembly and/or testing experience in medical device industry.
  • Computer skills including Excel, Word, and preferably some AutoCad and Solidworks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to apply acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic measuring techniques including scales, rulers, US and metric measurement.
  • Ability to follow company procedures.
  • English language proficiency.
  • General knowledge of clean room procedures.
