Principal Consultant

As a principal consultant, your role includes working directly with enterprise clients, analyzing and planning business strategy iin the FS, Government, and Teclo Industries and advising clients on technology solutions. You are also responsible for leading technical and business discussions with senior stakeholders in our clients and the team during client projects provide directions to team members, and acting as the lead SMEbe the overseeing its daily operations. You are expected to demonstrate self-confidence, assertiveness, perseverance, and resiliency.

Essential Functions:


  • Ability to listen, analyze, and discuss solutions for complex Ability to work on significant issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
  • Ability to deploy Imperva solutions
  • Ability to support cross-product sales and consultancy efforts and implementations for clients on multiple Uses skills to contribute to the development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways for large and complex enterprise solutions
  • Demonstrate audible awareness when working with customers
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex Imperva technology issues and provide root cause analysis
  • Exercises independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results, knowing when to escalate where appropriate
  • Contribute to thought leadership and innovative practice development
  • Maintains Imperva certifications
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Train, and mentor consulting staff or partner staff
  • Provide weekly status about the state of customer engagement, alerting management to potential issues impacting our ability to meet project
  • Assist management on the state of our products, based on customer feedback, as seen through our end user’s
  • Assist Manager on interviewing new Consulting Staff
  • Assist Manager on providing requested feedback for performance appraisal
  • Conduct periodic training sessions whenever necessary for customers, partners, and internal staff

Reporting Relationships:


  • Regional Director or Regional Manager
  • The Principal Consultant will work directly with, Technical Project Manager, Consultants, Architects, Customer Success Managers and Sales



  • Works closely with management to ensure that customers are receiving high-quality service
  • Participate in Management meetings when requested
  • Communicates to management on key customer engagements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Over 10 yrs. of experience with Cyber Security and related solutions such as Identity and Access Management, Web Application Security, Data Loss Prevention, API Management, and Assessment frameworks covering Regulatory and other compliance
  • Experience with designing and implementing Database Security Utilizing creative problem-solving abilities and a consistent consultancy mindset while working on, as well researching problems and/or issues and developing and/or offering effective solutions for, clients' initiatives and needs related to technology-related services
  • Proven track record of success in managing technical and analytical teams in a professional services
  • Has successfully worked with compliance, risk and privacy officers; proven abilities to maintain relationships with key executives, companies, and a network of professional organizations or affiliations within the Security technology industry;
  •  Serving as a leader, including the following: supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust; seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Networking and Infrastructure knowledge
  • Knowledge of Databases such as MSS L, Oracle, MyS  L, DB2, Big Data or NoS L platforms
  • Knowledge of operating systems such as Linux, Windows, Solaris, and VMware ESX
  • Knowledge of public cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Knowledge of Web Servers such as IIS, Apache, and Tomcat
  • Knowledge of Identity Management
  • 1 Years of experience within Imperva minimum
  • 3 years or more of Professional Services experience in Data Security
  • Extensive experience working with a diverse interdependent cross-functional, cross-departmental projects, vendors, business objectives, and technologies
