Impact was founded in 1999 by B2B industry veterans with a strict focus on office equipment hardware. Over the past 20+ years Impact has grown to become a leader in the business process optimization space. Impact is a fierce driver of progress and technology in an otherwise in an antiquated industry. From managed IT/cloud services to document management to branding and design, Impact has utilized a unique blend of software and hardware to develop a turnkey solution for any business looking to streamline their operation and maximize efficiency.  

Although officially established in 2018, Impact Managed Marketing was in the making for several years prior. As Impact’s rapid expansion brought more opportunities for optimizing businesses from the inside, it also uncovered a need for these businesses to improve their external presence for their customers’ branding & marketing needs. The internal design division at Impact was re-imagined to meet these needs and Impact Managed Marketing was born.

Our core offerings at Impact Managed Marketing fall into four main categories: research & strategy, branding, web design & marketing. Our client roster includes everything from B2B manufacturers to B2C CPG brands and everything in between. We’re always on the lookout for engaged, collaborative, creative people to bring into the team.

Copywriter Overview

Making magic out of intricate brand identities and telling compelling stories is a must as a copywriter for Impact Managed Marketing. Not only will you craft “big-brand” style campaign for small and medium sized businesses, but you’ll also communicate the benefits of these brands through pretty much every type of media. (Think websites, campaign ads, brochures, emails, videos, social…you name it, you’ll write it.)

Working alongside an extremely talented and insightful visual designer, UX designer and Insights Lead, you will flex your considerable copy muscles to bring personality and character to every project you take on. We build every brand we touch from the ground up, so be ready to build on the insights that our rock star strategy team delivers to you.

As part of an extremely entrepreneurial team, you must be comfortable switching back and forth between independent work and contributing to a group, depending on project needs.

At the “Owner” Level, you’ll partnered with different account, design, ux and insights team members depending on client and be expected to own the copywriting outputs for that client in full. They look to you as the one that can create their brand voice use it to connect meaningfully with their audience. You’ll be an expert in a variety of industries and be able to make sound recommendations based on insights and audiences. You will be mentored but not micro-managed, so your ability to manage your own schedule, timelines, work and expectations is critical.

Responsibilities

  • Effortlessly translate a client’s brand into words and ideas that will excite and engage them, their internal team and their target audience
  • Craft powerful creative concepts alongside designers, insights team, UX pros and your account lead
  • Clearly communicate your well-thought out copy choices to the team and clients
  • Ensure copy is concise, meaningful, clear and error-free
  • Work closely with the UX team on how content should come to life to best communicate a client’s brand story—writing the content and impactful CTAs
  • Work with our production and dev team to shepherd your ideas from comp to completion
  • Help create presentations to share work with the client and present ideas in all areas of execution
  • Reach out and ask for help or enroll other team members as needed to get the work done on time and be something you’re proud of

Things We Are Looking For

  • An online portfolio that showcases breakthrough 360 thinking on past clients who STILL sing your praises
  • All levels are welcome to apply, but our sweet spot is 3-5 years of experience
  • You should know your way around Microsoft Word (if you know Sketch or Invision that’s a definite plus, but we can teach you those)
  • You must collaborative and open—someone who is willing to lend a hand to your team when needed
