Marketing Strategist Overview:

Marketing strategists are responsible for conducting consumer and market research and working with internal subject matter experts and account managers to align marketing efforts with overall client business goals and develop, communicate and reinforce data-informed strategies that aim time, effort, resources and creativity at tasks that matter because they solve problems and drive meaningful change for our clients.

As a marketing strategist, you will represent the voice of the consumer by collecting data via methods like interviews and surveys and synthesizing to create well-segmented audience profiles. You will also represent the current state of the market by conducting competitive audits, studying industry reports and identifying breaking trends. In collaboration with subject matter experts in areas such as automation, paid media, organic media, and UX/UI you and your account management partners will leverage data to create marketing, branding, and content, strategies that are aligned with client objectives and the scope of work in order to clarify next steps. After clarifying what needs to happen next, you will act as a guide and participant in the development of ideas that are likely to achieve the specified objectives. After ideas go live, you will work with subject matter experts to monitor ongoing performance data to clarify learnings, identify problems and guide ongoing optimization.

A successful marketing strategist will have excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, research and communication skills that allow them to quickly and accurately understand clients, systems and situations, identify problems and test, and learn from, solutions as they work to optimize marketing efforts to the greatest extent possible.
