The AI Product Manager defines and drives the vision, strategy, and execution of AI-powered features and products that improve teaching and learning experiences. This role connects educational insight, generative AI technologies, and business objectives to deliver impactful, user-centered solutions on a scale. Collaborating across with product, engineering, design, curriculum, data science, marketing, and services. The AI Product Manager leads discovery of user needs, aligns features to instructional outcomes, and ensures innovation is responsible, feasible, and scalable.

Position Information: This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to VP Product Management, AI Initiatives.
Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $108,688 and $150,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.
Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote.
Travel: You can also expect up to approximately 20% travel, so be sure you have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Envision Your Experience.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Lead the full lifecycle of AI-driven features and tools - from discovery and design through development, launch, and iteration.
- Translate educator and student needs into solutions that use generative AI to enhance personalization, guidance, and productivity.
- Use qualitative research, analytics, and experimentation to validate user problems and prioritize high-impact opportunities.
- Define and maintain AI product roadmaps aligned with team strategy and responsible AI principles.
- Write clear, actionable requirements (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria) covering UI/UX behavior, data inputs, LLM prompts, evaluation criteria, and safety considerations.
- Manage the feature request pipeline, assessing feasibility, impact, and ethical implications of new ideas.
- Partner with engineering, ML/AI, and platform teams to develop, integrate, and test AI capabilities - including LLM-based assistants, adaptive learning flows, and content generation tools.
- Work closely with curriculum, services, and customer success teams to validate classroom utility and align AI features with instructional integrity.
- Support release planning and go-to-market activities, including internal enablement, documentation, and feedback loops.
- Stay informed on developments in large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, fine-tuning, evaluation frameworks, and educational AI policy.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of product management practices and team operations.

Share Your Expertise.
Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Product Management, Education, Business, or a related field and 3-5 years of product management experience, including at least 2 years working on SaaS or AI/ML products; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., AI Product Management, Agile, LPM) preferred.
- A strong understanding of the K-12 marketplace and emerging AI trends is essential.
- K-12 edtech experience is highly preferred.
- Experience delivering generative AI features such as natural language interfaces, smart recommendations, classroom copilots, or AI content generation tools.
- Strong working knowledge of LLMs, prompt design, RAG pipelines, human-in-the-loop systems, evaluation metrics, and responsible AI practices.
- Proven success working with cross-functional teams - especially ML engineers, software developers, UX designers, and instructional experts.
- Skilled in product discovery, user research, and hypothesis-driven prioritization.
- Proficiency with Agile tools and processes (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Figma) and experience authoring structured product artifacts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to align diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly proactive, organized, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Deep passion for educational equity and innovation, with a strong interest in transforming learning through AI.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to engage with school partners, educators, and internal teams as needed.
