Would you love to make an impact with students in a live virtual format? The Intervention Specialist provides that opportunity through targeted and intensive supports to students across Imagine Learning’s small group targeted instruction in an online environment. The Intervention Specialist may develop content with an understanding of instructional best practices for the identification and implementation of intensive student support. This position works collaboratively and cross-functionally with Synchronous Educational Services teams with the goal of helping students who have diverse needs to demonstrate and develop in identified competencies.
Position Type:
- Partial full-time roles, where the work schedule is 40 hours per week Monday through Friday for 42 weeks of the year, with a 10-week paid summer break.
- Part-time roles that work year-round, typically between 12 and 29 hours per week, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $39,520 and $41,995 per year for partial-full time positions, and between $19.63 and $20.19 per hour for part-time positions. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.
Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote from your home office.

Envision Your Experience.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Design and deliver intensive live interventions, to small groups of students, using research-based instructional best practices in an online video-based tutoring platform.
- Collaborate across internal and external teams to determine proper targeted supports.
- Communicate support, rationale, and feedback to appropriate stakeholders.
- Use data to drive decisions regarding strategies, instruction and paths of growth for students.
- Coordinate student transitions with appropriate stakeholders.
- Work effectively and efficiently within a communication process for internal and external stakeholders.
- Create and communicate an intervention schedule to internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate professionally in all written and verbal interactions, with students, parents, teachers, and colleagues.
Share Your Expertise.
Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching or academic intervention experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Active teaching certification/license is required.
- Ability to deliver dynamic and engaging instruction in an online video-based tutoring platform.
- Experience supporting students and educators in a blended, virtual, or online learning environment preferred.
- Understanding of student interventions best practices preferred.
- Highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to generate creative solutions and provide ideas to assist students and educators with a growth mindset.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours.
- For day shift part-time positions, availability of at least 18 hours a week, with the ability to work a set shift with consecutive days and hours is required.
- For evening shift part-time positions (between 4-8 p.m. Eastern), at least 12 hours a week is required, with the ability to work a set shift with consecutive days and hours.
- For partial full-time positions, a set shift of 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday, is typical for the 42 weeks worked each year.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and concerns of others.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, online video chat, and database software is a must.
- Ability to provide a current Fingerprint Clearance Card or provide proof of application within 7 days (upon hire)
