The AI Operations Director will lead the management and deployment of AI technologies and solutions across core internal operational functions, including order processing, order management, onboarding and provisioning, and administrative workflows. This role will focus on leveraging artificial intelligence and automation to drive efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve scalability across the organization. This individual will partner closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure AI is effectively embedded into workflows, while also building a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Position Information: This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to the Vice President of Customer Experience Operations.

 

Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $108,688 and $135,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

 

Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote[TE1].

 

Travel: You can also expect up to approximately 15% travel, so be sure you have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Envision Your Experience.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive AI operations strategy that optimizes business processes and scales internal operations.  
  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of AI tools to automate workflows across order processing, onboarding, provisioning, and administrative functions.  
  • Partner with IT, Product, and Operations to ensure AI systems are aligned with organizational priorities and deliver measurable impact. 
  • Redesign and streamline processes by embedding AI-driven solutions that increase speed, accuracy, and efficiency.  
  • Oversee the continuous monitoring and refinement of AI workflows to ensure optimal performance and adaptability.  
  • Establish governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks for AI-enabled processes. 
  • Work closely with Finance, Sales, Support, and Operations teams to ensure AI solutions address key business needs and support growth.  
  • Work with offshore resources to ensure effective work product, prioritization of work, and timely deliverables.  
  • Provide training and guidance across teams to foster AI adoption and integration. 
  • Define and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness and ROI of AI-enabled initiatives.  
  • Stay current with AI trends, tools, and best practices to continuously enhance organizational capabilities.  
  • Champion a culture of data-driven decision making and operational excellence.

Share Your Expertise.

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field and at least 8 years of experience in operations, business process optimization, or technology management, with at least 3 years’ experience focused on AI or automation initiatives; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Demonstrated success in deploying AI-driven solutions in operational functions such as order management, customer onboarding, or workflow automation.  
  • Deep operational knowledge with a proven track record of implementing AI-driven solutions 
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, large language models (LLMs), RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and process orchestration tools.  
  • Proven leadership experience, with ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.  
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a track record of improving efficiency and scalability.  
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate complex AI capabilities into business outcomes.
