The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving products, shipping out orders, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and pulling items for assemblies as needed.  

• Position Type: This is a regular, full-time position.
• Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $16.84 and $18.00 per hour. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.
• Location: In this US-based position your location will be in our office in Rock Rapids, Iowa.

Envision Your Experience.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Prepare outgoing shipments by weighing, wrapping, and staging the shipments adhering to the individual requirements of client-specific needs while maintaining a high standard for accuracy and proficiency. 
• Welcome incoming trucks and assist with loading and unloading for pallet and parcel shipments. 
• Examine incoming shipments for accuracy and damage by verifying against a packing slip and noting/communicating any discrepancies. 
• Accurately receive products utilizing a mobile handheld device. 
• Put product away utilizing warehouse space efficiently.  
• Safely operate equipment used daily, including but not limited to, heat shrink machines, manual/electric pallet jacks, utility carts, ladders of multiple heights, forklift, pallet stacker, cherry picker, pallet wrapper, and scale. 
• Sort incoming mail and packages and deliver to the appropriate receiver. 
• Replenish picking lines by transferring inventory from excess storage bins. 
• Pull components for assemblies by following a work order and utilizing a mobile handheld device. 
• Responsible for the logistics of scheduling outgoing truck shipments with exceptional attention to the specific details of each recipient. 
• Clearly and accurately mark, barcode, and label stock. 
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and performing cycle counts utilizing our Warehouse Management System. 
• Keep accurate records of required tracking information. 
• Maintain a clean and well-organized work area. 
• Communicate effectively with managers and teammates. 
• Perform daily warehouse duties and assist with operational duties as assigned. 
• Assist with facility and grounds projects as needed. 
• Other duties as required. 

Share Your Expertise.

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and prior warehouse experience with logistics background, including forklift experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience. 
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. 
• Intermediate computer proficiency and basic math skills. 
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team. 
• Strong attention to detail. 
• Effective communication and organizational skills. 
• Self-motivated with strong time-management and multi-tasking skills, excellent attendance and dependability. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for long periods of time while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Ability to stand/work on feet for majority of workday. 
• Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 50 lbs. 
• Experience with modern warehousing practices and logistics.
