Imagine Your Impact.

The UI/UX Designer – Engineer is a member of a StudySync team building K-12 education software for browsers and devices, primarily using the React JavaScript framework. The UI/UX Designer – Engineer must have worked on a distributed software development team and have the communication skills necessary to thrive in that environment as well as prior experience building complex applications. This position designs and implements web-based user experiences for websites and internal tools that will represent our company and brands to the world.

 

Position Type: This is a regular, full-time position.

 

Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $80,099.00 and $90,000.00 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

 

Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote from your home office.

Envision Your Experience.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to the design and execution of comprehensive development plans
  • Be an advocate for our users
  • Create new and refreshed consumer-facing user experiences
  • Concept, brand, and theme internal and client-facing tools
  • Provide alternate design concepts and ideas for review
  • Work on multiple projects at different stages simultaneously
  • Analyze and incorporate feedback into designs
  • Assist in implementing approved designs into the product
  • Work with popular JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React)
  • Assist with other duties as required

 

Share Your Expertise.

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, computer science, or related field, and at least 3 years of relevant experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Strong experience in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping
  • Strong experience with standard charts, visualizations, and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of and experience using design methods, processes, and exercises
  • Experience with design tools and systems
  • Experience working with product managers, researchers, designers, and engineers
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written, and oral communication skills
  • Excellent coding and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and other coding languages
  • Familiarity with web accessibility
  • Self-motivated and self-managing, able to proactively identify work, handle tasks, and complete work without supervision
