The Professional Development Specialist is an experienced and successful professional educator who provides content specific support, training, and guidance in the implementation of Edgenuity’s blended and online learning programs. Supports improvements in teaching and learning by collaborating with district leaders, school administration and teachers to plan, implement and sustain the successful adoption of our digital solutions throughout the customer lifecycle.

 

Position Type: This is a regular, full-time position.

 

Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $63,410.00 and $70,000.00 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

 

Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote from your home office in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, Austin area preferred.

 

Travel: You can also expect up to approximately 80% travel, so be sure you have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Envision Your Experience.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver fee based, engaging, small and large group presentations centered on district/school teaching and learning recommendations while modeling instructional best practices.
  • Coach teachers and instructional personnel on how to integrate digital solutions into their curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices, developing and modifying student individualized learning paths, designing classroom assessments, and running assessment reports.
  • Assist with pre-sales, conferences, and zero cost days, when approved by manager - up to 3 days per month.
  • Presentation preparation to include account set-up verification, create and confirm session learning outcomes and expectations for teachers and administrators, personalization of delivery materials, and confirmation of travel.
  • Submit Training Requests, update and maintain customer records with session summaries and recommendations for next steps.
  • Update and maintain accurate personal records including calendar, expenses, personal time off requests, etc. according to timelines and expectations.
  • Provide follow-up and instructional recommendations for school personnel.
  • Manage multiple districts and additional projects simultaneously while focusing on the forecasted delivery of services reflecting seasonal deviations of activity.
  • Respond to internal and external customer communication as part of a matrixed service team.
  • Document student usage and improvement data, interpret this information, deliver data presentations to the district providing constructive program input, guidance on best practices and suggestions to drive student improvement.
  • Maintain the ability and availability to work flexible hours and travel, including overnight travel up to 3 nights per week (which will increase up to 80% or 4-5 nights at seasonal peaks); driving and maintaining a valid Motor Vehicle Driver License in state of residence and an acceptable driving record.
  • Maintain fingerprint clearance.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Share Your Expertise.

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

  • Master’s degree or higher in education and 5+ years of experience with blended and/or online learning; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Delivering successful professional development, training, and/ or consulting services in an educational environment.
  • Teaching and/ or curriculum and instruction experience interacting with and influencing key decision-makers.
  • Ability to effectively work remotely and independently.
  • Ability to lead consulting projects proactively, delivering services on time and within budget.
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel (from 50% up to 80% at seasonal peaks); overnight travel is expected.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, online video chat and database software.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite and understanding of cloud-based Web Technology (preferred).
  • Current Fingerprint Clearance Card, or provide proof of application, within 7 days of hire.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
