Job Summary:
Join IGN as a Senior Paid Social Media Manager, leading the delivery and optimization of paid promotion initiatives for branded content campaigns across entertainment, gaming, and consumer brands. You’ll oversee the social media budget across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Snapchat, crafting strategies to optimize ad placements, target audiences, and align with trends in the paid media landscape. From launching ads to generating delivery reports for billing and pacing, you’ll play a key role throughout the campaign lifecycle.
As part of the global creative solutions team spanning LA, New York, London, and Sydney, you’ll collaborate with teams responsible for custom campaigns that include ad design, branded content, events, and product launches. Success in this role requires adaptability, multitasking, and a drive to innovate workflows and delivery processes. You’ll work closely with sales, strategy, client service, revenue operations, and social media teams to ensure seamless execution and impactful results.
Job Duties:
- Develop high level paid social media strategy for delivering awareness-based campaigns, and on occasion conversion-based campaigns, with a focus on efficient use of budget
- Perform day-to-day campaign monitoring to ensure delivery and advertiser goals are fulfilled
- Plan and manage allocated campaign budgets and implement new initiatives that exceed client metrics
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop paid media strategies and build customizable amplification plans (including audience targeting and segmentation, messaging, flighting, budgeting, etc.) based on current market and/or platform trends
- Provide campaign and ad reporting from a variety of sources, including in-platform, bid management platforms, and web analytic platforms (including Meta Ads, Google Ads, X Ads, Snap Ads, etc.)
- Analyze performance data and provide succinct interpretation of results; or an appropriate action plan based on conclusions
- Determine new ad placement opportunities to rollout to sales teams and provide the appropriate training for them
- Manage communications between various social media platform representatives for any platform changes or updates
- Work with the Director, Client Services to manage and provide a clear forecast of amplification spends monthly
- Organize platform invoicing information across the channels
- Collaborate with all teams around the business in pursuit of business, campaign, and team-based goals
- Work closely with, and be available to support, international teams on paid social efforts
- Be a collaborative partner to paid marketing teams sitting in other brands within the organization
Job Qualifications
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of experience in paid media with extensive experience driving successful strategies, including experience in buying brand advertising, across a wide array of social media channels.
- Demonstrated ability in handling large and sophisticated Paid Social campaigns that require quick turnaround times for launch
- Experience with Paid Social Ad Management platforms from implementation to daily management of optimization features
- Experience in running view and impression-goaled campaigns across different platforms
Not Required, but Nice to Have:
- Experience in leading campaigns focused on new custom acquisition, traffic generation and demand generation
- A passion for Entertainment, Technology, and Gaming
Work Environment:
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, M-F. There may be an expectation, from time to time, that this role may work hours outside of a typical work schedule, weekends, or holidays.
- Travel Requirements: No travel is required for this role.
- Physical Requirements: There are no physical requirements for this role.
- Work Model: This role will be required to go into our Los Angeles office on a hybrid basis, at least 3 days per week.

Salary Disclosure: Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000-$110,000, 401K with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a flexible time off policy.
