    Intern: Talent Development Intern – JR | Summer 2026 Start
     
    Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Talent Development Intern to be based in our Arlington, VA office.  
     
    Overview:  
    The Talent Development Intern will work as part of the Talent Development team on all aspects of talent engagement including leadership development, talent planning, on-boarding and performance management processes, systems, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a curiosity and interest in human resources and talent development. IDT is seeking an energetic and positive candidate with a strong sense of urgency who can work in a fast-paced environment. The intern will join our team at a very exciting time with opportunities to contribute to high-profile initiatives that will impact IDT’s workforce and our leaders.
     
    IDT’s Summer Internship Program offers students the opportunity to learn from experts and perform meaningful work in a professional work environment. IDT interns gain valuable, hands-on experience and solve real-world problems. In this program, students can expect:

     Minimum Required Qualifications: 
    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program with a major in Business, Communications, Human Resources, Psychology, or Sociology
    • Strong interest in a career in Human Resources
     Preferred Skills and Experience: 
    • Customer Service mindset
    • Experience scheduling, tracking, and managing logistics for in-person and virtual meetings and learning programs
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
    • Ability to track data and training metrics (e.g., participation, outcomes)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint for presentations, Excel for data analysis) 
    • Ability to travel up to 10%
