Role Mission
The Marketing & Digital Engagement Intern supports IDEA Public Schools’ mission of College For All by strengthening regional storytelling, digital visibility, and family engagement across IDEA Greater Cincinnati. This role contributes to marketing initiatives that elevate the voices of scholars, staff, families, and community partners through social media, digital campaigns, video content, and creative storytelling. A central priority of this internship is building digital engagement that converts into increased family interest, student applications, and progress toward region-specific enrollment goals.
The intern will work closely with regional and national marketing partners to create compelling content that reflects the mission, culture, and impact of IDEA Public Schools in Cincinnati, while also supporting day-to-day project coordination and campaign execution.
Location
This is a hybrid position based in Cincinnati, Ohio, with regular in-person presence expected at IDEA Greater Cincinnati campuses, regional events, and community-based activations.
Travel Expectations
Travel between IDEA Greater Cincinnati campuses and occasional attendance at community events, student recruitment efforts, or organizational meetings may be required.
What You’ll Do – Accountabilities
1. Develop and publish social media content that increases awareness of IDEA Greater Cincinnati and strengthens engagement with prospective families, community members, and mission-aligned stakeholders.
2. Support digital storytelling efforts by capturing and elevating scholar, staff, classroom, and campus experiences through written, photo, and video content.
3. Assist in planning and producing short-form and long-form video content, including YouTube series concepts that showcase student experiences, academic excellence, school culture, and community impact.
4. Contribute to digital marketing campaigns designed to increase student applications and support region-specific enrollment goals across IDEA Greater Cincinnati campuses.
5. Collaborate with regional leaders, campus staff, and marketing partners to align messaging, campaign priorities, and content calendars with enrollment and community engagement needs.
6. Support project management and campaign execution by organizing deliverables, tracking deadlines, and assisting with requests in project management systems such as Wrike.
7. Monitor engagement data, campaign performance, and digital reach to inform recommendations that improve audience growth and marketing effectiveness.
Additional Responsibilities
Support family and student recruitment events through digital promotion and event storytelling
Assist with photography, interviews, and content collection during school events and regional initiatives
Help identify community stories that reinforce IDEA’s mission and impact in Cincinnati
Support creation of materials for enrollment campaigns, campus highlights, and community partnerships

Required Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong written communication skills
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience creating content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, or similar platforms
Basic photo/video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite, or similar tools)
Interest in education, storytelling, marketing, or communications
Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging with students, staff, and families
Pursuing a degree/credential in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Production, and Entrepreneurship
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or work at a computer for extended periods
Ability to move between campuses or event locations as needed
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 15 pounds occasionally
