Regional Content Coach - Science

 

Role Mission: The Regional Content Coach - Science will work collaboratively with national and regional staff to design and deliver effective Science training, conduct classroom observations, and analyze data to identify areas of improvement. The Regional Science Coach will expand the knowledge, skills and toolkits of all campus leaders to ensure Science classrooms are optimum to engage all students in the learning.

Location: This is a full-time hybrid (remote/onsite) position based in [Region]. Preference will be given to candidates who live in the region, or who are willing to relocate. 

 

Travel Expectation: 1-2 times per year for team stepbacks or meetings.

 

What You’ll Do – Accountabilities

Essential Duties:

  • Design and facilitate professional development sessions that support teachers and leaders in implementing evidence-based Science practices.
  • Collaborate with National Coaches and the Academic Services Team to develop and implement effective Science instruction for students.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to teachers and leaders to ensure fidelity of implementation of Science instruction.
  • Conduct regular classroom observations to identify areas of strength and growth in Science instruction.
  • Collect and analyze Science data to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
  • Collaborate with campus and regional leadership to develop and implement Science improvement plans based on data analysis.
  • Communicate regularly with regional leaders about student progress and instructional initiatives.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest research and trends in Science instruction.

 

What You Bring - Competencies 

Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred 
  • Valid teaching certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience.
  • Experience as a Science coach, instructional coach, or schools leader preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based Science practices and instructional strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate effective professional development sessions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience working with data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Knowledge of current Science trends and research.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between  $74,700 and $87,100, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
