This is a vacancy for the 26-27 school year with a target start date of July 1, 2026
Mission:
The Functional Analyst – HR is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions that align with business processes and objectives as it relates to Human Resources, Compensation, and Benefits. This role serves as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring that ERP systems are optimized to support operational efficiency and strategic goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Location: This is a full-time (remote/on-site) position based in Texas, with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.
Travel Expectations: 0-2 times per year
What You’ll Do – Accountabilities
Essential Duties:
· Configure and maintain Workday HCM modules including HCM Core, Compensation, and Benefits.
· Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement.
· Support system upgrades, feature releases, and ongoing maintenance.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize business processes and improve system usability.
· Maintain system documentation, including process flows, configuration settings, and user guides.
· Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.
· Ensure compliance with HR policies, data privacy, and regulatory standards.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
· Participate in system testing, including test case creation and execution.
· Assist in Workday security role configuration and reporting setup.
· Gather and analyze business requirements to design and implement Workday solutions.
· Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.

Required Education and Experience:
· Graduate from a recognized four-year college or university preferably with a major in business administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
· 3+ years of experience with HCM configuration and support.
· 3+ years of experience with Human Resources
· 3+ years of experience with Compensation and Benefits
· 3+ years of experience utilizing project management frameworks to ensure project and team effectiveness.
· 3+ years of experience in business process design.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
· Sitting for long periods of time
· Use keyboard for long periods of time
· Lift small objects

Compensation & Benefits:
Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $74,700 and $87,100, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
