College Partnerships Intern
Mission:
The College Partnerships Intern supports IDEA’s mission by assisting with college partner resources, data tracking, FERPA documentation, and project execution that help counselors, alumni managers, students, and families connect with strong postsecondary opportunities.
Location:
This is a part-time remote position based in Texas with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, or Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.
Travel Expectations:
Periodic travel for IDEA trainings, meetings, college partner visits, or team events may be required.
What You’ll Do – Accountabilities
Essential Duties:
- Maintain and update college partner directories, campus visit information, shared resources, and trackers for counselors and alumni managers.
- Support analysis of college partner application, acceptance, commitment, and alumni data trends.
- Audit FERPA waiver documentation and maintain waiver campaign trackers and OneDrive folders to support alumni data requests.
- Support special projects related to college partner engagement, student matriculation, and alumni success.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with logistics for in-person and virtual college partner visits, meetings, and communications.
- Identify, organize, and share college partner resources with counselors, alumni managers, students, and families.
- Respond to campus inquiries and help route questions or concerns related to college partnerships and matriculation support.
- Prepare summaries, presentations, or materials that support partner check-ins, team planning, and shared priorities.
- Observe and learn College Partnerships workflows, systems, and processes to strengthen professional understanding.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve organization, tracking, and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of College Partnerships and organizational priorities.

Required experience:
· Knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
· Strong customer service skills
· Multi-task oriented
Preferred experience:
· At least 60 college credit hours completed preferred; IDEA alumnus preferred.
· Advanced Excel proficiency or strong technological competence preferred.
· Planning, organizing, Interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
· Strong customer service, communication, and organization skills.
· Propensity for action, willingness to learn by doing, and ability to improve quickly through feedback.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time.
· Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate with others to exchange information.
· Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times and complete periodic travel as required.

Salary for this role is $11 hourly
