The Opportunity:
The Health Strategist leads planning, development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of wellness programs for assigned clients. This highly client facing position ensures the highest possible level of client engagement, outcomes and customer satisfaction in the delivery of services to meet client objectives. This position effectively collaborates with other colleagues and external resources to provide value to the client, and support Hylant’s client retention, growth, and profitability.
In This Role You Will Execute On:
- Consult with client to guide the evaluation, development, implementation, and promotion of health and well-being strategies and programs. This includes collaborating with clients, Hylant Employee Benefits team members, and other stakeholders to:
- Identify client needs, goals and objectives for their wellness programming.
- Provide recommendations and insights on programming to ensure client wellness strategy supports broader benefit and risk management strategies.
- Evaluate client information (demographics, industry, program goals, etc.) and data (HRA, survey, claims, etc.) providing recommendations and insights based on the data.
- Assist in the development of communication plans, promotions, and campaigns.
- Assist in securing wellness awards and grants.
- Assist with the identification, evaluation, and coordination of wellness vendors.
- Provide resources for health coaches, screenings, behavior change programs, health risk assessments and other products/services requested by clients.
- Assist with the coordination of client related wellness events, as requested.
- Serve as internal wellness resource for Client Executives, Services Staff, and others providing expertise and assistance as requested. Support sales and renewal processes by assisting with sales meetings, presentations, and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the organization in the planning, development, and review of Hylant’s Health Strategy programs, tools, and resources.
- Represent Hylant Health Strategies internally and externally through participation in internal committees and events, attendance at industry events, participation in roundtables, and promotion, creation, and/or delivery of webinars, presentations and newsletters.
- Develop, foster, and maintain a network of relationships with community groups, agencies, and individuals in the wellness space.
- Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
In This Role You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a health-related field (e.g., Health Education, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition) plus:
- three (3) or more years of relevant experience OR
- equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active Life & Health License, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
- Wellness related certification preferred (e.g., Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Cooper Institute Worksite Wellness Director, Certified Wellness Program Coordinator, WellCert Worksite Wellness Practitioner Certification)
- Exceptional communication skills, including listening, speaking and writing
- Excellent computer literacy with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet with the ability to create and edit spreadsheets, presentations and correspondence, perform data entry and access data.
- Exceptional relationship development and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to travel by car or airplane for meetings, conferences, or other business-related functions.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
