The Opportunity:

The Information Technology (IT) Help Desk Specialist serves as frontline support for all IT related issues received from internal clients, managed through the IT help desk ticketing system. The Specialist position also requires some minor project work, key process ownership and continued technical education.
  
In This Role You Will Execute On:  
  • Serve as first point of contact for all Information Technology support requests.
  • Monitor incidents logged into Hylant Help Desk system and ensure that requests are being addressed in a timely manner.
  • Work to resolve as many issues as possible.  When necessary, escalate problems to second or third level support.
  • Perform personal computer setups, including hardware and software installation.
  • Perform limited systems administration tasks such as new user setup, distribution list maintenance and password resets.
  • Manage/Maintain corporate cell phone program and documentation, including ordering and deploying corporate devices to end users. 
  • Assist with developing and distributing user tip sheets and documentation.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining systems related documentation including knowledge base article creation and updating.
  • Assist with project work as needed.

 

 

In This Role You Will Need:

  • Requires the minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer technology related field. Help Desk certification is a plus.  
  • Requires working knowledge of personal computer hardware and software including Microsoft Active Directory, Windows, Office 365 and Teams.  A+ certification strongly suggested.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills including listening, speaking, and writing.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple competing priorities at once.
  • Ability to work well with others in solution of mutual problems; respects the opinions, abilities, and contributions of others; cooperative and open minded in working with others.
  • Ability and willingness to travel by car or airplane for meetings, conferences, or other business-related functions. 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
