The Opportunity

The Benefits Implementation Specialist is an integral role in the Employee Benefits Client Service team responsible for leading benefit system administration implementation and update efforts with carrier and vendor partners to ensure sold plans are executed with accurate and up to date plan information

In This Role You Will Execute On:

  • Manage benefit systems implementation and update efforts for new and existing clients; develop unique action plans customized for each client to ensure sold plans are set up properly with the appropriate carrier systems.
  • Facilitate implementation efforts through guidance and consultation with clients and carriers ensuring proactive follow up and documentation throughout the process.
  • Review all associated plan documents for accuracy, including plan amendments, and address corrections needed, as necessary; collaborate with carriers to ensure benefits platforms are aligned with client needs.
  • Assist clients with completing and finalizing carrier applications at renewal or mid-year, when applicable.
  • Partner with client and internal service team to ensure Benefit Administration Systems are updated appropriately.
  • Lead and/or attend client implementation meetings; provide status updates, answer questions, guide and collaborate with carriers, clients, and internal teams to ensure implementation needs are addressed.
  • Perform system testing to ensure proper system functionality; assist in the set-up of Electronic Data Integration (EDI) files feeds and track progress of integrations between vendors and carriers.
  • Maintain client Human Resources Administrator Access to portals.
  • Provide detailed communications and updates to both internal service teams, as well as assigned clients.
  • Update and maintain Hylant’s Agency Management System and other applicable systems.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested

In This Role You Will Need:

  • One (1) or more years of client/customer service experience in a professional environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Benefits Systems Administration highly desired.
  • Active Life & Health License or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Adobe and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid technical proficiency.
