The Opportunity: 

The Leave Management Specialist will play a pivotal role in identifying and matching employers with qualified leave management administrators. This individual will utilize their expertise in HR practices and leave programs to ensure that both the employer’s needs and the administrator’s skills are aligned for optimal collaboration. This role requires a deep understanding of leave policies, federal and state regulations, and the ability to educate and present on these concepts to clients and prospects.
 
 
In This Role You Will Execute On: 
  • Consult with employers to understand their specific leave management needs and requirements.
  • Source and vet potential leave management administrators through various channels  including initial administrator interviews and assessments to determine qualifications and compatibility with employers.
  • Provide expert advice and consultation on leave management best practices, compliance issues and policy development.
  • Facilitate introductions and meetings between employers and potential administrators.
  • Offer ongoing support and consultation to ensure successful partnerships.
  • Develop strategies to attract and retain clients utilizing integrated absence management and workforce productivity strategies.
  • Maintain a robust network of HR professionals and leave-related providers specializing in leave management.
  • Keep abreast of changes in leave laws and regulations to provide up-to-date guidance.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Hylant employees and clients regarding leave questions and concerns, providing guidance and support throughout the leave process.

 

In This Role You Will Need: 

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state leave laws, including FMLA, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in absence and leave management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR consulting, Sales or a similar role.
  • Strong communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite
  • Certification in HR, Leave Management and/or Disability Management (e.g., SHRM-CP, CLMS or CPDM) is preferrable.
