The Opportunity:

The Captive Account Manager will support management of a portfolio of captive clients and work in unison with other members of the Global Captive Solutions Team.  The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management or Accounting, excellent communication skills, be a team player, or demonstrate initiative with strong analytical abilities.  Previous experience in an internship within the captive industry or a CPA firm is beneficial.

This position can be hybrid from any of the Hylant office locations or 100% remote.

Primary Responsibilities:
 
  • Timely and accurate billing for management and consulting
  • Timely and accurate premium tracking for clients
  • Effective communication with clients and other service providers to ensure the captive insurance entity remains compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Strong time management skills demonstrated by an ability to manage a portfolio of captive clients with competing deadlines
  • Ability to work well with others and aid other captive professionals
  • RFP and Client Prospect presentations team support
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Internal Training and Communications

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
 
  • Financial statement preparation and accounting experience required
  • Good communication skills, including listening, speaking and writing 
  • Represent Hylant core values and follow protocols 
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize with effective results 
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
  • Team player 
  • Open to constructive criticism and ideas 
  • Be willing to share observations and insights that could positively enhance clients and team member experience 
  • Be an active problem solver, asking questions that lead to resolution 
  • Possess a willingness to investigate and learn more about the property/casualty industry 
  • Prior accounting experience with working understanding of financial statements, reporting and other accounting concepts
  • Adherence to Best Practices
