The Opportunity: 
This position will support the sales and client service teams through oversight and execution of the marketing process and carrier placement strategy for new and/or prospective clients. This role negotiates terms, conditions, coverage limits and pricing with carrier partners, maintains knowledge of markets necessary to place business, explores new markets, and assists with the carrier selection process.
In This Role You Will Execute On: 
  • Oversee all aspects of the marketing process for new and renewal accounts from initial submission to the binding of coverage ensuring a solid understanding of client needs and tailoring a marketing strategy accordingly.
  • Evaluating client risk and reviews, analyze their exposures, loss experience and current coverages and recommends appropriate products and services.
  • Act as consultant to the team providing market intelligence on products and services, programs, carrier appetites.
  • Execute the submission process to selected markets. Perform timely follow-up and response to underwriter needs to generate quotes. Negotiate best terms on behalf of clients and Hylant.
  • Compare and evaluate final quotes with the account team. Recommend coverage placement solutions and prepare presentations for clients.
  • Order binders from winning markets and alert losing markets of outcome of proposal meetings in a manner that will enhance and demonstrate respect that will foster continued good market relationships.
  • Maintain open communication with sales and service teams throughout the marketing process ensuring the appropriate teams have the information needed when needed to maintain an optimal process.
  • Document all marketing activities in accordance with established procedures.  Update all systems to document and finalize marketing cycle.
  • Maintain knowledge of the insurance marketplace and act as an internal market resource and liaison. Meet with carriers to learn of new products, appetites and service enhancements. Build strong and mutually beneficial relationships with carriers and wholesalers.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
In This Role You Will Need: 
  • Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) or more years of relevant experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • .Industry designations such as ARM, CIC, and CPCU preferred.
  • Active Property & Casualty license or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Strong commercial lines technical and market knowledge including broad range of coverage and risk alternatives.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability and willingness to travel by car or airplane for meetings, conferences, or other business-related functions.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
