The Opportunity: 

This position will work closely with account management teams in the analysis of client data and the development and implementation of short- and long-term solutions to ensure optimal utilization and cost management for assigned Employee Benefit clients. This employee will interact and present to clients in-person in Northern Indiana on a consistent basis. 

In This Role You Will Execute On: 

  • Perform systematic review of client experience   to provide insights and recommendations to both clients and account management team based on claims and enrollment data.
  • Develop unique and customized action plans for clients  , collaborate with the account management team, as well as other resources including Health Strategies, Member Engagement, Cost Containment, and Leave Management, including continuous review of emerging experiences.
  • Work as client facing consultant   and serve as the analytics platform subject matter expert.
  • Create visual representations of data through charts, graphs, and dashboards to facilitate easy understanding for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Perform additional analysis including but not limited to Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) calculations, budget forecasts, and spec analysis.
  • Advise the Data Analytics Team as needed to address client issues, as well as providing input on standard templates, and best practices.
  • Supply information regarding RFP responses for questions relevant to data analytics.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested.

 

In This Role You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, analytical field of study preferred.
  • Two or more years of healthcare related data analytics experience required.
  • Life and Health License required.
  • Understanding of health plan risk, underwriting and actuarial models, and risk management techniques required.
  • Understanding of Self-Funded contracts and stop loss policies
  • Experience with Benefit Science Technology (BST) or a similar analytics platform preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of health plan risk, underwriting and actuarial models, and risk management techniques required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel by car or airplane for meetings, conferences, or other business-related functions. 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Work is generally performed in a typical office environment with limited exposure to physical risk or physical effort required.
